Tinubu supporter in Bauchi pledges September salary to fund Oluremi Tinubu’s 65th birthday project

A staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu in Bauchi State, Khamis Musa, has pledged to donate his September salary towards the 65th birthday anniversary project of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The First Lady, who turns 65 on September 21, 2025, had announced that instead of gifts, cakes, or newspaper greetings, well-wishers should send funds into a dedicated account to support the completion of the National Library project.

In her words: “By the special grace of God, I will be turning 65 years old on the 21st September 2025, and this happens to be a Sunday. This is why I have decided to dedicate the day to God for all His blessings in my life and have a quiet birthday. I wish to appeal to those who would like to send a birthday card, cakes, flowers, greetings in the newspapers, or gifts to please send the funds to the designated account for a special project close to my heart… the completion of the National Library. This would be the best birthday present I could receive.”

According to The Guardian, Khamis, reacting to her appeal, said he would be donating his September salary to the cause, describing the First Lady’s move as “a genuine effort to support education in Nigeria that deserves encouragement from all well-meaning citizens.”
